About Me
Growing up in Southampton, I began playing drums in 2002, and after two years of performing locally successfully applied for the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford. During this time I learnt from some of the countries finest teachers, learning to perform in a wide range of musical styles and much more.
After four years I left with the full works of qualifications that the Academy offers, including a BA (Hons) degree in Contemporary Popular Music. I also achieved Grade 5 for music theory in this time.
As a teacher I am particularly interested in how beginners and students under the age of 12 are taught. This resulted in developing my own teaching syllabus and instructional book as part of my final Dissertation.
With this solid foundation I am confident in providing a teaching service to satisfy all students, whether you just want to learn a few songs to make a band with your friends, or if you're hoping to make playing the drums your life long obsession!
